The Hunt
Hunters may pursue Red Stag by rifle or bow through the varied landscape surrounding Amakela Lodge. Other available species include:

Each day begins with breakfast before heading into the field with a professional guide. After a midday lunch and time to relax, hunters return for an afternoon session. Evenings feature cocktails and memorable Argentine dinners with grilled meats, local vegetables, fine wines, and traditional desserts such as dulce de leche and crème caramel.
High-Volume Dove Shooting
The package also includes one bonus day of high-volume dove shooting. After breakfast, hunters travel to the dove fields, where a bird boy and prepared blind await. Expect a fast-paced day featuring primarily golden-eared doves, with occasional pigeons mixed in. Shotgun rental, licenses, shells, and related shooting expenses are additional.
Beyond the Hunt
This Argentine experience is not only for hunters.
Spouses and non-hunting guests may relax by the swimming pool, enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi, arrange a massage, explore nearby hiking and horseback-riding trails, savor chef-prepared meals and Argentine wines, or accompany the hunters during many portions of the experience.

Guests may also extend their journey with time in Buenos Aires. The outfitter can assist with hotel arrangements, private tours, shopping excursions, wine experiences, dinner-and-tango shows, and additional destinations throughout Argentina. Observer packages and optional activities are available for an additional charge.

Located at the foot of the Guasayán Hills, Estancia Amakela features seven comfortable en-suite rooms, welcoming indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a swimming pool, and beautiful grounds. Skilled chefs prepare local and international cuisine with traditional Argentine flavors, creating a relaxing retreat for hunters and guests alike.
Important Information
- Package is designed for two hunters and includes five nights of accommodations, three big-game hunting days, and one bonus dove-shooting day.
- Valid for the 2027, 2028, or 2029 hunting seasons, subject to availability.
- March through July is the preferred big-game hunting period due to cooler temperatures.
- The trip should be booked within 90 days of purchase to help secure preferred travel dates.
- A $2,000 nonrefundable trophy deposit per hunter is required at booking and is credited in full toward the final trophy-fee bill.
- An additional $1,500 trophy deposit per hunter is due by August 1 of the year before travel and is also credited toward trophy fees.
- Each hunter must harvest at least two animals, one of which must be a Red Stag or Argentine Water Buffalo.
- Trophy fees apply to every animal harvested, wounded, or lost.
- Additional hunters may be added at no extra lodging-package charge, but each must pay the required trophy deposits, trophy fees, licenses, and meet minimum harvest requirements.
- Not included: international or domestic airfare, pre- or post-hunt lodging, trophy fees, firearm permits, hunting and wing-shooting licenses, firearm rentals, ammunition, shotgun shells, taxidermy, dip-and-pack services, trophy export and shipping, gratuities, insurance, observer fees, and optional non-hunting activities.
